| WE WORK WITH YOU EVERY
STEP OF THE WAY... |
Typically we break our production
process into four phases (Consultation, Pre-Site Design, Site
Development, Post-Site Launch). If a project is not approved
and discussed with the client at identifiable points in the
production process, changes can become more time consuming and
expensive for everyone involved. This process allows the project
to reach milestones where approvals, sign-offs, and incremental
billing, can occur. Below is a sample procedure which may somewhat
differ, depending on your individual needs. |
| 1. Consultation
| |
Initial Consultation |
Prior to our initial consultation we will
provide you with a short design survey which you can complete
online
or we can work with you to complete the survey over the phone
or in person. During our first consultation (either via phone
or in-person) we listen while you talk about your vision and
needs for your future website.
Based on the questionnaire and consultation, we determine
the type and complexity of the site you need. We also discuss
domain registration and web hosting options.
Proposal and Letter of Agreement |
During this phase, we mutually agree on an acceptable
fee and timetable for the project in our letter of agreement.
***A deposit of 40% of the project cost is due at the
conclusion of this phase. Quotes are based on the complexity
of the individual project, however, we guarantee your satisifaction.
| 2. Pre-Site Design |
Design Concept and Flow Chart |
Two draft designs (or comps) will be offered
for your review along with a flow chart explaining the site
pages. We will work with you to select the design and features
that best fit your needs.
Sign Off |
Once the specific comp has been selected,
you will “sign off” on the project and we will
begin the actual site development.
| 3. Site Development |
| |
Content Development |
Once the design is approved, we will then
mutually decide on which images, photos, and copy are to be
used and where. We can provide these as a service or work
with you to edit your own images and copy.
Test Site
During this phase of the project we will build
a working version of the site. Once it is built, it will be
uploaded to a working server for testing, client review, proof
reading, and approval.
"Going Live"
Once all changes are made and approved and
testing is complete, your new site will be launched to your
host.
***60% or the remainder of
the project fees are due within two weeks of "going live."
Congratulations your site
is ready! Be sure to tell your customers about your
new site by displaying your web address on your business
cards, letterheads, print ads, and other media. |
4. Post-Site Launch
Search Engine Submission
Search engines are the mechanism in which
individuals locate your site on the Internet. Your site will
be coded based on the search criteria for each of these search
engines. Keep in mind that it can take anywhere from several
weeks to several months for your website to become a regular
result in the search engines.
On-Going Maintenance
Your site will probably have links and other
information that may change or need to be tested on a regular
basis. We can provide an ongoing maintenance package for you.
